by Marianne Coyne
Artist and part-time grocery store employee, Catherine Donahue, is frustrated and disheartened after an unexpected change disrupts her already frazzled life. She had faith things would get better, yet now they seem to be worse. With emotions already heightened, she rediscovers a long-ago cherished gift hidden under the chaos of her once organized drawers, that invokes a secret memory, transporting her back twenty-three years to a college, a powwow, and Sam – a young Mohawk, who made a single weekend last a lifetime. But life gives Catherine another turn as she acquires a commission to paint the cover of an author's new historical romance novel, drawing her deeper into the nostalgic emotions she's been recently experiencing toward her past love. Will this new adventure keep her stuck in the past, or will it be a second chance at love?

Marianne - - Yesterday I purchased your new book "The River Runs Deep." and I could NOT put it down until I had read the last paragraph!!!! It was absolutely a 'must read' for everyone that loves a warm love story that also has the reader glued to the pages as there was so much more to be shared and in some ways learned by the reader. It brought both tears of joy in many places and tears of sorrow in other places....just like real life! It would also make a superb 'Hallmark-type' or Independently produced movie. Great reading!!!

Marianne always produces a great read thanks
This is a great story. I have a "Sam" in my life and I really hope I see him again one day. I often think about if life is going to bring him back to me or not. This really brightened my day and I am glad I read it.
